Pipelines

Utility pipelines installed safely, tested, and ready for service.

We build water, gas, and utility pipelines across open country and congested urban networks — using open-cut and trenchless methods, pressure tested to Water Industry and gas standards, and commissioned for service.

Overview

What We
Build

Pipeline construction demands precise survey, careful planning around existing utilities, and disciplined quality management through jointing, bedding, and testing. Whether it is a strategic water main through open farmland or a gas main replacement through a congested town centre, we bring the same methodical approach — safe excavation, proper bedding, correct pipe joint procedures, and a tested and proven result.

Where open-cut working is not possible, we deploy directional drilling, pipe jacking, and microtunnelling — crossing highways, railways, and rivers without surface disruption. All trenchless works are completed with hydraulic profile verification before the bore is put into service.

Capabilities

What We Deliver

01

Water Mains

Potable water trunk mains and distribution pipelines in ductile iron, HDPE, and MDPE — pressure tested, disinfected, and commissioned to Water Industry standards.

02

Sewer & Drainage

Gravity sewer construction and rising main installation in concrete, GRP, and PVC — including new connections to existing live networks and manhole construction.

03

Gas & Utility Pipelines

Medium and low pressure gas main construction in PE and steel — with full purging, pressure testing, and IGE UP/2 commissioning procedures.

04

Trenchless Techniques

HDD, pipe jacking, and microtunnelling for crossings under roads, railways, rivers, and congested urban areas — avoiding disruption to live infrastructure and services.

Process

From Survey
To Service

01

Survey & Design

Ground investigation, utility surveys, and hydraulic design — establishing pipe grades, material specifications, and trenchless crossing requirements before breaking ground.

02

Consents & Diversions

Street works permits, highway consents, and Section 50 licences secured. Existing utility conflicts identified and diversions coordinated ahead of main pipeline works.

03

Lay & Backfill

Controlled open-cut excavation, pipe laying, and granular bedding — with compacted backfill in highway zones meeting Specification for Highway Works requirements.

04

Test & Commission

Hydraulic pressure testing, leakage testing, CCTV survey of gravity lines, and commissioning procedures — delivering a pipeline proven fit for service before handover.
