Most vehicle AC systems lose around 10–15% of their refrigerant charge every year through normal permeation of hoses and seals. A system that blows cold in summer one year may struggle the next. Annual servicing — checking the charge level, inspecting for leaks, and replacing the cabin filter — keeps the system working efficiently and avoids compressor damage caused by operating in an undercharged state.

Vehicles registered after 2017 use R1234yf refrigerant, which requires specialist handling equipment to UK F-Gas Regulations. Our technicians are F-Gas certified and equipped for both R134a and R1234yf systems — covering the full range of vehicles currently in service.

What We Deliver

Gas Recharge

Recovery, vacuum, and recharge of R134a and R1234yf refrigerant systems using certified equipment — restoring cooling performance and checking for correct operating pressures.

Leak Detection

UV dye injection and electronic leak detection to identify refrigerant loss points — compressor seals, condenser, evaporator, hoses, and Schrader valves all inspected.

Compressor Replacement

AC compressor removal and replacement with OEM or equivalent units, followed by system flush, new receiver drier, and full recharge to manufacturer specification.

Cabin Air Filter

Pollen and particulate filter replacement to maintain cabin air quality — often overlooked but essential for system efficiency and occupant health, particularly for allergy sufferers.
