Fitting the wrong battery type to a modern vehicle causes problems beyond a simple no-start. Vehicles with start-stop, regenerative braking, or energy recovery systems require AGM or EFB batteries specifically — fitting a standard lead-acid unit will cause premature failure within months, as the battery cannot handle the deep cycling these systems demand.

Many vehicles — particularly BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen Group models — also require the new battery to be registered with the engine management system using diagnostic software. Without registration, the alternator continues to charge at the profile programmed for the old battery, reducing the lifespan of the replacement. We carry the equipment to complete this registration correctly.
